Cambridge Ideas was launched in 2009 to mark "eight centuries of transformative academic thought" at Cambridge University which, remarkably, was founded in 1209.
The ongoing series of both audio and visual productions presents the institution's latest research together with comment and opinion on national and international current affairs.
We asked the Ideas team to select their ten favourite videos exploring the latest scientific research - from climate science and nanotechnology to space exploration and preventative medicine.
Cambridge is one of the world’s leading research universities. It has more than 80 Nobel Prizes to its credit, more than any other single university in the world.
