Components: Audition call-out
About this video
Back in January 2012 we went looking for engineers to take part in an exciting new project making films for the Ri Channel.
Thanks to funding from the Royal Academy of Engineering, we were able to search for people working in engineering to help them showcase their work on camera. They didn't need to have any experience of talking to the public or film-making, just to be enthusiastic and looking for new ways to share their ideas.
Featuring the Ri's Olympia Brown, this is the short audition video we produced asking engineers to film themsleves repeating the simple experiment and explaining what made the straws go round and round.
Please note: Entry for this year's project has now closed.
