The Emotional Computer
About this video
Could computers one day understand human emotion?
When we interact with other people we respond to their emotional state and adapt our own behaviour accordingly – but what if machines could be designed to do the same?
This question is of particular interest to Cambridge scientist Professor Peter Robinson, who is trying to develop ways for technology to respond to human emotion. His research is looking at ways for technology to one day provide a more personalised response, tailoring the user experience to a human’s individual needs.
