American musician Bobby McFerrin turns the 2009 World Science Festival audience into a singing choir.

You might have seen this before, but we couldn't resist reposting it.

There's something instantly engaging about the way musician Bobby McFerrin manages to teach his audience to harmonise in chorus. As he jumps from side-to-side on stage, he conducts the audience up and down an imporvised melody and demonstrates a universal understanding of music and the pentatonic scale.

The clip itself is taken from a much longer talk which explores our relationship with music and asks whether this is neurologically or culturally determined.
